Subjects are generally upbeat and derived from mythology, religion, literature, psychology and the contemporary dilemma.  Both imaginative and realistic, they reflect a striving to transcend materialism, grasping the heart of what makes life worthwhile.

"Fertility Fountain", 1984  Bronze, 47" high, Edition 8
Fertility Fountain (also named Fountain of Life ) is a symbolic motif of a Phallus and womb joined in intercourse with three men and three women celebrating the birthing process.  Water flows from multi-levels.

"First Kiss as a Fountain", 2001 26" high Bronze 
Romeo and Juliet, fresh, full of innocence and hope, reach towards one another for a light kiss. This work was designed to be the centerpiece of a series called Shakespeares Court , which includes King Lear, Hamlet, Puck, and one more (yet to be created) comedy figure.   The circular motion lends itself to a circular fountain.

A fountain spraying water out of the hair of a sun goddess, who flings her hair out of the ocean with sensual vigor as she raises her face to the heavens.

"Ballerina", 1988 Life size Bronze 
Fully extended in a forward lunge, this ballerina was inspired by an instantaneous moment seen several years earlier performed in the Broadway production, "Dance". The gesture, strong from every view, won "Best in the Show" in the 1990 National Arts Club Annual.

"Temperance", 1992 Life-size Bronze Edition 8
This very realistic figure makes an ideal fountain piece with water spurting up into the woman’s hands from below. The work marks a turning point in the sculptors career from subjects with the extended outward movement to the more internal tranquility as represented by this figure. She is putting her libido under control.

Expressing the sheer joy of youth, the child looks up at the viewer. The sculpture is envisioned as a fountain with a spout of water arching upward and into the child’s face.

Based on the apostle Paul’s 1st letter to the Corinthians, in the light of these great aspiration, we are reminded that we "see through a glass darkly." We bring to our world our own petty issues, which to those who aspire, are mirrored against the very lofty aspirations of faith, hope, and love.

"DNA Maypole", 1995 39" x 12" x 12" Bronze 
Suggesting a parallel between the double helix of a DNA and the spiraling Maypole as a fertility symbol. The descending couple joins hands and reaches down into the upward spiraling genetic pool of children.
